Runyan is last Oilers player left in NFL

Interesting note sent along by the Eagles today, with Steve McNair retiring, Birds RT Jon Runyan is the last Houston Oilers player still active in the NFL.

The Houston Oilers became the Tennessee Oilers in 1997 before becoming the Titans in 1999. Runyan was a 4th round pick of Houston in 1996 and played in 10 games as a rookie.

Also, with Brett Favre retiring earlier in the offseason, Runyan’s streak of 176 regular season games started is now second-longest among active NFL players behind Tampa Bay’s Derrick Brooks (192).
