The 35-year-old Kline, who was released by the San Francisco Giants at the end of spring training, is expected to report to Triple-A Lehigh Valley in a week.
Kline spent all of 2007 with the Giants and posted a 4.70 earned run average in 46 innings, allowing 58 hits and 18 walks.
