Steroids found in former home of WWE wrestler

Fox 5 in Atlanta is reporting that a Henry County, Gerorgia man discovered drugs in a Locust Grove home he recently purchased from World Wrestling Entertainment performer Mike Hettinga.

Hettinga wrestles as Mike Knox on the WWE's ECW brand. Before making it to the main roster, Hettinga wrestled in Deep South Wrestling, a former WWE developmental territory based in Atlanta.

Soon after the man moved in to the house, he discovered two small shoe boxes in a crawl space in the wall of the attic filled with several bottles of steroids & Growth Hormone.

The man also discovered several personal documents, including a copy of the Hettniga's WWE contract, as well as unopened syringes.

"Wrestlers can only be prescribed steroids by a physician which is rare and only for a specific medical condition and it is usually taken orally," WWE director of publicity Kevin Hennesy told the Fox affiliate. "If a wrestler is injecting steroids for performance enhancement purposes that would be a matter for local law enforcement."

After Hettinga's name was released, WWE released another statement saying that four different pro wrestlers lived in home and only one of the four (Hettinga) is still with the company. They also said Hettinga has denied to both the police and to the WWE that the items found belonged to him.

According to The Wrestling Observer, the steroids were found in one of two shoe boxes. The other shoe box had pay stubs and Hettinga's contract.

In other WWE news, The Tampa Tribune reported that former WWE wrestler Andrew "Test" Martin, 33, was arrested Sunday morning on charges of DUI and driving without a license when an officer believed he was driving recklessly at 10:30 a.m. (et) .

An off duty office noticed Martin, who is currently dating WWE diva Barbie "Kelly Kelly" Blank, driving erratically and called a Florida Highway Patrol trooper.

The police report stated Martin's eyes were glassy and bloodshot and his speech was slurred. He didn't smell of alcohol but failed a field sobreity test and was taken to jail, where he spent all day until being released Sunday night on $500 bail.
