WIP’s Wing Bowl has risen in popularity from a crowd of 200 in a hotel lobby to an extreme following of 20,000 that packs the Wachovia Center on the Friday before the Super Bowl. WIP’s Wing Bowl receives international attention each year as beauty pageant-worthy females (aka Wingettes) feed 30 competitors as many chicken wings as they can eat in thirty minutes. The 610 WIP Morning Team, led by Wing Bowl co-creators Cataldi, Al Morganti and Rhea Hughes, broadcast the contest live on their radio show on 610WIP.
