Cathching up with the Eagles draft preparation

Yahoo! Sports' John Murphy is reporting that the Eagles are showing strong interest in University of Oklahoma WR Malcolm Kelly.

NFLDraftBible.com's Josh Buchanan reports the Eagles are showing heavy interest in Hofstra LB Gian Villante and the Birds have requested more tape and want to take another look at Central Oklahoma LB Will Clewis. Clewis reportedly ran in the 4.56-4.65 range in the 40-yard dash at his recent pro day.

Next Level Scouting's J.J. Pesavento is reporting that Fordham P Benjamin Dato visited with the Eagles on Wednesday, while Duke P Chris Sprague is in town today. Looks like Sav Rocca in anything but safe. Pesavento also says Syracuse LB Jameel McClain visited with the Eagles on Tuesday and the team attended Pitt OT Jeff Otah's individual workout on Wednesday.

NFL.com's Gil Brandt reported that the Eagles attended the University of Western Michigan's Pro Day on Tuesday and offensive line coach Juan Castillo attended Pittsburgh OL Mike McGlynn's individual workout on Wednesday.

The Trenton Times' Dave Brooks says the Birds met with Texas TE Jermichael Finley and University of California RB Justin Forsett on Tuesday, Numerous media sources also reported that Cal receiver DeSean Jackson was on hand.

The Daily News' Les Bowen says the Eagles hosted Michigan State WR Devin Thomas this week and also may have snuck Indiana WR .James Hardy into town.

KFFL is reporting that the Birds will work out Syracuse SS Dowayne Davis on Friday.

Finally, Judge Karen J. Caplan dismissed the charges of possession of a controlled dangerous substance and driving while in possession of a controlled dangerous substance against Eagles defensive tackle Mike Patterson. Patterson was fined $189 for careless driving.
