Phillies bullpen rumors

A quick glance through Philly.com this morning revealed two interesting nuggets of info concerning the Phillies bullpen.

First, the Phillies all-time leader in saves, Jose Mesa, is now available after being released by the Tigers. Could he be heading back to Philadelphia?

"We will leave no stone unturned," Phillies assistant general manager Ruben Amaro Jr. told the Web site.

Still, it seems unlikely the Phillies will bring the aging right-hander back.

More importantly, philly.com's Steve King writes that the Phillies are still very interested in former closer Troy Percival, noting that the Phils and Tigers appear to be the front-runners.

King adds that Philadelphia is unlikely to pursue right-handed White Sox reliever Mike MacDougal at the price of Aaron Rowand.
