Official release from the Phillies
The Phillies announced the signings of two additional players selected in the First-Year Player Draft held earlier this month. The Phillies selected a total of 52 players over the two-day draft.
Catcher Travis D'Arnaud, the Phillies' supplemental pick between the 1st and 2nd rounds, has reported to the Gulf Coast Phillies (R). D'Arnaud, 18, is originally from Long Beach, Calif., and attended Lakewood High School.
Twenty-two-year-old Tyson Brummett, the Phillies' 7th round selection, has reported to Williamsport (A). The Salem, Utah, right-hander attended UCLA.
