KANSAS CITY, MO. - Saint Joseph's Pat Calathes and Ahmad Nivins have been named to the NABC (National Association of Basketball Coaches) All-District 3 Teams. Calathes earned selection to the first team while Nivins was a second-team selection.
Calathes, a 6-10 senior from Casselberry, FL, leads the Hawks in scoring (17.9) and rebounding (7.7) while ranking third on the squad in assists (2.8) and second in blocked shots (1.3). He has scored in double figures in all but two games this season for the Hawks and has seven double-doubles on the year. This marks his first NABC All-District selection.
Nivins, a 6-9 junior from Jersey City, NJ, ranks second on the squad with 14.2 points and 5.9 rebounds. He tops the Hawks in field goal percentage, shooting 64.9 from the field and is Saint Joseph's all-time leader with a career field goal percentage of 62.3. Nivins has tallied double figures in 20 games this season. Last year he was also named to the NABC All-District Second Team.

Both Calathes and Nivins own over 1,000 points and 500 rebounds in their SJU careers.
