Philadelphia, PA (The Phanatic Magazine) - The Philadelphia Eagles released two-time Pro Bowl linebacker Takeo Spikes on Thursday.
A 10-year NFL veteran, Spikes spent the 2007 season with the Eagles after being acquired in a trade with the Buffalo Bills. He finished second on the team with 139 tackles and also had one sack in 14 games.
The 10-year NFL veteran missed the final two games of the season after he was placed on injured reserve with a torn rotator cuff.
Spikes was originally a first round draft choice of Cincinnati in 1998 and spent his first five NFL campaigns with the Bengals before signing with the Bills in 2003.
