Soul place WR Henderson on IR with broken collarbone

By John McMullen

Philadelphia, PA (The Phanatic Magazine) - The Philadelphia Soul placed wide receiver Kenny Henderson on injured reserve Monday with a broken collarbone.

The second-year player from Tuskegee suffered the injury making a brilliant finger-tip touchdown catch on a go route with just nine seconds left in the second quarter of Saturday’s 77-56 win over the Orlando Predators.

Henderson, who had two catches for 29 yards and TD against Orlando, is expected to miss at least six weeks of action. He recorded 75 receptions for 895 yards and 18 touchdowns in his rookie season with the New Orleans VooDoo last season.
