The Sixers are still intent on signing a backup swingman with former first round pick Rodney Carney as the top option. Carney, however, wants more than the NBA minimum and a guaranteed deal, things the team has balked at thus far.
Secondary choices include Stephen Graham, Joey Graham and Linton Johnson.
Meanwhile, the club is set to ink veteran backup center Primoz Brezec to a 1-year deal worth just under $1 million later this week. Brezec's agent, Marc Cornsterin, confirmed the deal last week.
