The Phillies have selected the contract of pitcher John Ennis from Lehigh Valley. Ennis, who had Tommy John surgery in April, was immediately placed on the 15-day DL, however. To make room for the right-hander on the 40-man roster, infielder Brad Harman was designated for assignment.
The move is largely procedural. By bringing Ennis up and DL-ing him, the Phillies can now put any pitcher in the organization on the postseason roster.

My Carnal John Ennis is a great pick up. The Phillies just got a whole lot better. Coming back from Tommy John surgery is not easy. It took a lot of hard work, stoneies, and rehab to get him back to where he is. Good luck Carnal.
