Burress was in a Manhattan court room on Thursday for arraignment after being indicted on two counts of criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree and one count of second-degree reckless endangerment on August 3.
The former Super Bowl hero had faced at least 3 1/2 years in prison if convicted on a weapons charge, but instead made a plea agreement with prosecutors.
Last November, Burress shot himself in the thigh with a gun at a Manhattan night club. A Florida permit for the weapon had expired.
