It's a 2-year, $25 million dollar deal. $12 million this season and $13 million (not guaranteed) in 2010.
Assertions that the entire $12 million is guaranteed when Favre takes his first snap are incorrect. $6 million is guaranteed for "skill and injury", meaning if he is cut, Favre will only get $6 million. Much of the money is also deferred. Favre will receive $4 million this season, $4 million in March 2010 and another $4 million in 2011.
