Eagles - Giants Birdseed

Starting for an injured Brian Westbrook, Correll Buckhalter registered 17 carries for 103 yards. It was his fourth career 100-yard rushing game and his first since December 7, 2003 vs. Dallas. His 138 total yards from scrimmage were the third best total of his career and his most since gaining 144 vs. Dallas in 2003 … The Eagles joined the Raiders (LaMont Jordan and Justin Fargas) as the only teams in the NFL to sport two different players with 100-yard rushing performances in 2007.

The Eagles and the Vikings are the only two teams in the league to hold their opponents under 4.0 yards per rush in every game this season … Dating back to last season, the Eagles have recorded at least one sack and one interception in each of their last eight regular season games … They have also not allowed a 100-yard rusher in each of their last seven regular season games.

David Akers 53-yard field goal tied for the fourth longest in team history and was his longest since booting a 57 yarder vs. New England on September 14, 2003.

Eagles rookie TE Brent Celek posted his first NFL reception - a six yarder from Donovan McNabb - in the 2nd quarter … Under head coach Andy Reid, the Eagles have posted an 8-0 record in games following the bye week.
