The National Basketball Association announced the affiliation system for the 2007-08 NBA Development League (“D-League”) season Thursday. Each NBA team has one D-League affiliate to which it may assign players in their first or second NBA season. The Sixers, along with the Phoenix Suns will be affiliated with the Albuquerque, New Mexico Thunderbirds.
Lasy year's Sixers affilate -- the Fort Worth, Texas Flyers -- will not operate during the 2007-08 season.
