Williams stars as Sixers lose Summer League thriller

Louis Williams poured in a game-high 32 points but the Sixers fell to the Detroit Pistons in overtime, 91-89, when Sammy Mejia drilled a game winning three-pointer with just 0.4 seconds remaining

"We just couldn't make the plays down the stretch," Williams said. "We have a good day of rest ahead of us tomorrow and we'll come back strong on Monday."

Jason Smith netted seven points and a game-high eight rebounds in the loss.

Game notes: Sixers forward Louis Amundson sprained his left ankle in the second quarter and did not return... Derrick Byars (left quad strain) and Gerry McNamara (right ankle sprain) both did not play..The Sixers next game is on Monday against Golden State at 8 p.m. (et) and will be televised on Comcast SportsNet.
