Villanova's Redding arrested

Radnor Township police arrested Villanova guard Reggie Redding on campus Tuesday for possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Redding, 21, was subsequently released and issued a summons to appear in court.

Villanova Public Safety officers informed Radnor police that a vehicle struck a traffic sign. The car allegedly involved in the incident was found parked in a dorm lot and later identified as Redding's.

While being interviewed Redding allegedly removed two plastic bags containing suspected marijuana and a grinding device from the car and was charged.

Redding averaged 7.1 points, 4.9 rebounds and 3.1 assists as the Wildcats reached the Final Four last season.
