Affliction is Done

Kevin Iole at Yahoo! Sports is reporting that the UFC will be releasing a statement shortly that Affliction will be returning as a sponsor of the organization in exchange for closing up the company.

Affliction sent out a release stating that Zuffa and Affliction Holdings, LLC have agreed to a collaboration.

"We are excited about the return of Affliction to the UFC and look forward to seeing our fighters once again walk into the Octagon wearing the Affliction brands. Affliction is an innovator of mixing fashion with this sport and we are looking forward to working together to promote the sport," said White.

Affliction's latest pay per view had to be cancelled when Fedor Emelianenko's scheduled opponent, Josh Barnett, failed a random drug test.

Emelianenko, the consensus best heavyweight in the world, versus Brock Lesnar under the UFC banner would likely be the highest grossing match in MMA history.
