Knicks ready to steal Miller?

So says the New York Post...According to the newspaper, Knicks president Donnie Walsh appears close to making Sixers free agent point guard Andre Miller a formal offer for the one-year, $5.8 million midlevel exception, feeling there is a chance of stealing him.

The Sixers reportedly will not offer the 34-year-old Miller more than a one-year deal. Ed Stefanski has talked to several teams about sign-and-trades but has yet to hear from Walsh.

Meanwhile, Oklahoma City has had talks with ex-Sixers coach Maurice Cheeks about joining the coaching staff as an assistant to another ex-Sixer, Scott Brooks.
