The Philadelphia 76ers re-signed forward Alan Henderson to a contract for the remainder of the season on Tuesday. Per team policy, terms of the contract were not disclosed.
Henderson started the 2006-07 season with the Sixers, averaging 3.5 points and 3.1 rebounds in 34 games (five starts) before being sent to Utah in late February.
The Sixers traded the 12-year NBA veteran for the rights to exchange second round draft picks in the 2007 NBA Draft. In addition the Jazz received cash considerations from the Sixers. Utah then requested waivers on Henderson on March 2.
Henderson has averaged 7.9 points and five rebounds in 648 career games (220 starts) while playing with Atlanta (1995-2004), Dallas (2004-05), Cleveland (2005-06) and Philadelphia (2006-07).
