Reid and Eagles discuss new deal

The Eagles and Andy Reid have started negotiations on a contract extension, according to ESPN's Sal Paolantonio.

"Andy [Reid] and Jeff [Lurie, the Eagles owner] and Joe [Banner, the team president] have a very close relationship and they want that to continue," Reid's agent Bob LaMonte told SalPal."There is no timetable."

Reid, who could win his 100th game as the Eagles mentor on Sunday against the woeful Tampa Bay Buccaneers, is currently in his 11th season as the Birds coach and his contract expires at the end of the 2010 season.
