Eagles' Peters should play vs. Washington

Eagles coach Andy Reid expects left tackle Jason Peters to play Monday night against the Redskins. Peters suffered a knee contusion and an ankle sprain vs. Oakland and was forced to leave the game and King Dunlap was a mess as a replacement.

"He should be able to work through that and be ready this week," Reid said. "He's walking around halfway decent. We'll see how he does."

BTW...why do the Eagles throw young left tackles to the wolves? Everyone remembers Winston Justice's six sacks allowed performance against the Giants when replacing Tra Thomas and now Dunlap.

Check out the Baltimore Ravens against the Minnesota Vikings yesterday. The Ravens were forced to go with rookie Michael Oher against Jared Allen and John Harbaugh used the whole world to chip Allen. The Vikings All-Pro still beat Oher like a drum but it could have been much worse if Reid was their coach.
