Phils veteran pitcher Jamie Moyer, who underwent surgery on Oct. 2 to repair three torn tendons in his groin and lower abdomen, checked into Thomas Jefferson University hospital with a blood infection, according to general manager Ruben Amaro Jr.
"He is doing fine," Amaro said on Friday. He has "some type of blood infection and will likely stay one more night, getting the fever down and taking antibiotics. Not sure how he got it."
