Phils fuel ratings at CSN

Comcast SportsNet delivered a 25 percent increase in Phillies ratings over the 2008 World Championship season, the network’s seventh consecutive season of Phillies ratings growth.

During the 2009 season, the Phillies scored a 7.14 average rating (212,000 HH) for live game action, a 25% increase over last season’s 5.7 rating. Fans tuned into Comcast SportsNet’s Phillies Postgame Live in record numbers; the program averaged a 3.1 rating (92,000 HH), a 15% increase over the 2008 season. Comcast SportsNet’s Phillies ratings have climbed 113% since 2002, when the Phillies delivered a 3.35 household rating.

Throughout the Phillies 2009 postseason run, Comcast SportsNet will provide extended Phillies coverage, including Phillies Pregame Live and Phillies Postgame Live for every Phillies post season game featuring highlights, exclusive interviews with players and managers, plus insider analysis with former Phillies pitcher Ricky Bottalico and other special guests. In addition to special playoff editions of Daily News Live and SportsNite, Comcast SportsNet will air Race2Repeat, a 30-minute program airing at 10:30 p.m. on any Phillies off day.

Tom McCarthy is awful. The only reason the ratings went up is because they are winning. I really hope they bump him out next year.
