Phils make roster moves

The Phillies have released veteran pitcher Rodrigo Lopez, reaclled pitcher Sergio Escalona from Double-A Reading and selecting the contract of first baseman Andy Tracy from Triple-A Lehigh Valley.

Escalona has been on the shuttle all season, being recalled for the sixth time. In six games with the Phillies, he is 1-0 with a 2.84 ERA. In the minors Escalona was 2-3 with 14 saves and a 3.13 ERA in a combined 47 games between Reading and Lehigh Valley.

Tracy hit .254 with 26 home runs and 96 RBI in 129 games for Lehigh Valley.

Lopez hurled 30 innings this season posting a 5.70 ERA.
