Eagles aren't cheap

So says the Buffalo News' Mark Gaughan, who recently compiled the total value of each NFL contract and ranked the team's projected spending.

The Minnesota Vikings with the free-spending Zygi Wilf were No. 1 at $736.87 million.

Shockingly the Eagles were second at $721.22 million.

I can see Joe Banner smiling now with that "told you so" smirk on his face.

The usual suspects were next. Jerry Jones' Cowboys were third at $715.40M and Daniel Snyder's Redskins were fourth at $676.88 million.

Kansas City was last at $392.13 million.

The defending Super Bowl champion Steelers were 19th and the real "Gold Standard," New England, was No. 22.

Of course, since nothing is guaranteed in the NFL save signing and roster bonuses, this is all meaningless anyway.
