For the first time in four years, the Phillies will open and close the season on the road.
The season opens on Monday, April 5, against the Washington Nationals at Nationals Park. A three-game series with the Atlanta Braves at Turner Field closes the regular season, October 1-2-3.
"The 2010 home schedule will offer an exciting season for our loyal and passionate fans. Our home opener this season will be with the Nationals on April 12. Our rivalry with the Mets will deliver some memorable weekends, including the last series at home. In addition, we have some great interleague matchups with the Red Sox, Twins and Indians," explained John Weber, Phillies Vice President, Sales and Ticket Operations.
Schedule Notes
• Interleague play takes the Phillies to New York for a June series (15-17) against the Yankees on the road. The Phillies will also play the Boston Red Sox and Toronto Blue Jays on the road.
• The Phillies will host the division rival New York Mets three weekends during the season: April 30-May 2, August 6-8 and September 24-26.
• As has been a tradition since Citizens Bank Park opened in 2004, the Phillies will hold an On-Deck Series the weekend prior to the season opener on April 2-3. The opponent and times are TBD.
