Mike and Mike both think Eagles will win the NFC title.

I've always gotten a kick out of turning on WIP or 950 and listening to Eagles fans bitch about how the "national media" has it in for their beloved Birds.

I've always thought it was the exact opposite. The national media guys have had a ongoing love affair with Andy Reid and the Eagles' media services department since they deal with them on such an infrequent basis and aren't privy to all the warts.

The latest example came this morning when both Mike Greenberg and Mike Golic picked the Birds to reach the Super Bowl despite a disastrous preseason. The NFC may be weak and the Eagles still have a shot but this team looks a lot worse off than when they first showed up in Lehigh.

For the record, Greenberg and Golic, an ex-Eagle, did pick the Birds to lose the big game. Greenberg picked the Pats while Golic went with San Diego.

My pick? New England avenges Super Bowl XLII with a win over the Giants.
