Former Eagle Lewis lands in Minnesota

In the he's gotta have incriminating photos department, former Eagle wide receiver Greg Lewis is about to get another NFL job.

According to agent Jerome Stanley, the Minnesota Vikings have released veteran wide receiver Bobby Wade, the team's leading receiver in both of the last two seasons. The St. Paul Pioneer Press reports that Lewis is at Winter Park and expected to sign with the team as Wade's replacement.

Vikings coach Brad Childress, the former Eagles' offensive coordinator in name only (he never called the plays), has always loved Lewis.

In six NFL seasons, Lewis has 127 catches for 1,699 yards with seven touchdowns.

During the offseason, the Eagles traded Lewis to the New England Patriots for a seventh-round pick but he was cut last week.

The lead Vikings receiver in 2008 was Bernard Berrian.

Semantics...Berrian had more receiving yards, Wade had more receptions...Generally the guy with the most receptions is regarded as leading the team in receiving.
