The nine-year veteran has been on the shelf since July 25 with inflammation in his lower back.
Feliz was hitting .256 with 12 home runs and 46 RBI before the injury.
To make room for Feliz on the roster, the Phillies optioned reliever Les Walrond to Triple-A Lehigh Valley. Walrond was 0-1 with a 7.11 ERA in four appearances with Philadelphia this season.
