The Philadelphia Soul have signed linebacker Raheem Orr on Friday.
Orr played for the Soul during the 2006 and 2007 seasons and attended training camp with the team before the 2008 season. In his two previous seasons with the Soul, he recorded 28 tackles, three sacks, and one interception which he returned for a six-yard touchdown. He was released by the Soul on February 21, 2008 and signed with the Grand Rapids Rampage shortly after. He was later released from the Rampage practice squad on June 6.
Orr was drafted out of Rutgers University in the fifth round by the Houston Texans in the 2004 NFL Draft. He was later waived by the Texans and picked up by the New York Giants. He played in two games for the Giants but did not accumulate any statistics.
