The Philadelphia Eagles signed rookie guard Mike McGlynn to a four-year contract Wednesday.
A fourth round draft choice of the Eagles in 2008, McGlynn (6-foot-4, 311) was a three-time All-Big East honoree during his career at Pittsburgh.
After shifting from tackle to guard as a senior in 2007, McGlynn went on to earn third-team All-America accolades after Pittsburgh’s offense amassed 981 rushing yards on 150 carries (6.3 average) and 15 TDs when running to his side of the field.
He appeared in 47 games over his collegiate career and notched a streak of 43 consecutive starts since emerging as the team’s starting left tackle in 2004.
A native of Austintown, OH, McGlynn earned Super Prep All-Midwest and Prep Star All-Region honors as a senior at Fitch HS.
McGlynn is the second of 10 Eagles 2008 draft picks to sign with the team
