New Sixers coach Eddie Jordan will keep on veteran Jimmy Lynam as an assistant. Aaron McKie will also stay on to join longtime Jordan aid, Mike O'Koren. John Loyer, Jeff Ruland and Bernard Smith, assistants under Maurice Cheeks and Tony DiLeo, will not return.
Former Sixers coach Randy Ayers is also a candidate to join Jordan's staff. Randy's son, Ryan, a swingman out of Notre Dame and Germantown Academy, is working out for the Sixers today.
