PHILADELPHIA (The Phanatic Magazine) - The
MLS All-Star Giant Ball Tour kicked off Friday when Philadelphia Mayor
Michael Nutter and MLS Commissioner Don Garber opened the festivities on
the famous “Rocky” steps
of the Philadelphia Museum of Art, located at 26th St. and Benjamin
Franklin Parkway.
The
giant soccer ball will be paraded through the streets of Philadelphia
throughout All-Star Week, led by a MLS-wrapped double-decker bus. The
ball will make coordinated stops
at local Philadelphia events, as well as iconic Philadelphia locations
such as LOVE Park, City Hall and Penn’s Landing, where fans will be
encouraged to sign the soccer ball.
