Five Owls snare preseason All-Big East honors

PHILADELPHIA (The Phanatic Magazine) – Five Temple Owls have been named members of the 2012 preseason All-BIG EAST Conference teams, according to College Sports Madness.

Junior DT Levi Brown was the only Owl named to the All-BIG EAST first team.

All-BIG EAST second team honorees were seniors RB Matt Brown (Baltimore, Md.) and S Justin Gildea (Hollidaysburg, Pa.).

Earning third-team recognition were senior OL Martin Wallace (New York, N.Y.), PK Brandon McManus (Hatfield, Pa.), and Brown at kick returner.

Temple opens the 2012 season against Villanova in the fourth annual Mayor's Cup on Friday, Aug. 31 at Lincoln Financial Field.
