(Phanatic Magazine) - Eagles wide receiver Ron Johnson suffered a gruesome leg injury, believed to be a broken ankle, during 7-on-7s drills Monday afternoon.
The USC product spent the 15 games on the Eagles practice squad last season before being promoted to the active roster on Dec. 31 after the team placed safety Kurt Coleman on injured reserve list.
Originally a sixth round draft choice by San Francisco in the 2011 NFL draft, Johnson played in 47 games at USC, compiling 3,501 all-purpose yards for the Trojans.
