On second thought...Ivey's back

Sixers free agent guard Royal Ivey caused a stir on Twitter ove the weekend when he posted: : "Going back to Philly!"

For whatever reason, Ivey's agent, Keith Glass, downplayed the message saying that while he had discussed a new contract with the Sixers, nothing has been finalized and Ivey's message was intended to mean he was physically returning to Philadelphia.

Probably to sign a deal. The two sides have agreed to terms on a1 -year contract that is expected to be finalized by the end of the week.

Ivey, who joined the Sixers last season, opted out of the second year of his 2-year contract and just under $1 million. He now is expected to get slightly more than the league minimum.

A solid defender and standstill three-point shooter, Ivey should fins time in the regular rotation for Eddie Jordan.
