Phillies ace Cole Hamels was examined this morning by team physician Michael Ciccotti and the initial report indicated "no structural damage" in his ailing left elbow.
Phillies general manager Ruben Amaro Jr. said there is some inflammation in Hamels’ elbow joint, putting his status for Opening Day in jeopardy.
He received an anti-inflammatory injection and will not throw until at least Thursday.
