Flyers get Carcillo, McLaren

The Flyers have acquired left wing Daniel Carcillo and defenseman Kyle McLaren in separate deals.

Philly got Carcillo from the Phoenix Coyoyes for winger Scottie Upshall and a second-round draft pick. They sent a sixth round pick to San Jose for McLaren.

Carcillo, 24, recorded three goals, seven assists and 174 penalty minutes in 54 games this season.

As a rookie in 2007-08, Carcillo led the NHL with 324 penalty minutes in just 57 contests.

Upshall, 25, registered seven goals and 14 assists in 55 games this season.

McLaren has not played for San Jose this season, but has 46 career goals and 207 points in 719 career games.
