Albert Pujols is backing off his comments aimed at Ryan Howard, according a to a story on ESPN. com.

Pujols was quoted as saying that Howard essentially wasn't deserving of the MVP because he didn't guide his team to the playoffs. That comment was made in Spanish, and Pujols claims that what he was trying to say was lost in translation.
