Iverson update

The Phanatic has learned that Allen Iverson will not play tonight with back spasms and the Sixers have told him not to show up at the arena.

Iverson will also not be on the team's flight to Orlando for tomorrow's game.

The official party line is that Iverson is out with back spasms but the enigmatic guard has reportedly asked for a trade.

Sixers president Billy King would not confirm that Iverson asked for the trade before the team's game against the Washington Wizards.

Iverson leads the NBA in scoring, averaging his 31.7 points per game, but his off court antics have grown tiresome to the Sixers.

He left a practice last week after an argument with coach Maurice Cheeks and skipped a team bowling function for season-ticket holders later that night.

He was then "heavily" fined by King.

Uh, the Sixers media notes listed Iverson as out so the Phagnatic has learned how to read. Quit acting like you are breaking news. It is insulting.
