Forsberg finds a boot

Lots of news coming in from the Flyers organization today.

First and most importantly, Peter Forsberg has reportedly found a boot that will support his injured right ankle and foot, meaning he will be back on the ice very soon.

Also, both Geoff Sanderson and Mike Richards had successful surgery today for their respective injuries. Both are expected to be back within three to six weeks.

Other notes:

-- Freddy Meyer had some back spasms Tuesday. He received a nerve root injection, and felt immediate relief. He won’t play Tuesday, but he’s very likely for Wednesday.

-- Sami Kapanen participated in the morning skate Tuesday and will be playing.

-- Joni Pitkanen was cleared to play.

-- The Flyers recalled Niko Dimitrakos and Lars Jonsson from the Phantoms, and reassigned Petr Nedved to the AHL.
