Spring is right around the corner. Hey, a guy can believe, especially on a balmy 50-plus degree day in Philadelphia. I may hit the driving range after work. Anyway, the Philadelphia Phillies, like every other team hoping that competition catches lightning in a bottle, announced their non-roster invitees to Spring Training on Monday.
Some of the intriguing names include pitching prospects J.A. Happ and Joe Bisenius, veteran outfielder Ron Calloway and pinch-hitting option late last season, Randall Simon.
