Kolb has sprained MCL

Eagles backup quarterback Kevin Kolb is done for the season with a torn ACL in his left knee.

Update: ESPN 950's Brian Seltzer is reporting that Kolb is currently en route to Philly for an MRI and " people in the know" don't think it's ACL magnitude. You know the drill with the Birds.

UPDATE II:
Jeff McLane reporting he saw Kolb walk back into the locker room facility. Good sign?

UPDATE III: Good news. Kolb was diagnosed with a sprained MCL. He will miss the preseason opener and be listed as day-to-day from there. Meanwhile, Trent Cole has a sprained AC joint in his shoulder and will also miss the preseason opener.
