On Sunday, July 6, the Philadelphia 76ers will depart for Las Vegas where the team will hold a five-day mini-camp for rookies and free agents (July 6-10) in preparation for a five-game schedule at the 2008 NBA Summer League in Las Vegas (July 11-17).
Among the players expected to participate in this year’s summer league will be Marreese Speights, who the Sixers selected with the 16th overall pick in the 2008 NBA Draft, last year’s rookies, Jason Smith and Thaddeus Young and St. Joe's guard Pat Carroll.
The Sixers tip-off their five-game schedule in Vegas on Friday, July 11, at 10 a.m. (EDT) against the Golden State Warriors. All of the Sixers games will be played at the Cox Pavilion on the campus of the University of Nevada , Las Vegas
