The Philadelphia 76ers agreed to terms Thursday with restricted free agent guard Lou Williams on a five-year contract, according to the Philadelphia Daily News.
Additional terms of the deal were not known.
"It's a good deal for Louis," Williams' agent, Merle Scott, told the newspaper. "It gives him a chance to grow with a team that's building and allows him to stay with the team he came into the league with."
Williams, the 45th pick in the 2005 NBA draft out of South Gwinnett High School in suburban Atlanta, averaged a career-high 11.3 points in 80 games with the Sixers last season.
The athletic guard also averaged 12.0 points in the Sixers' six-game playoff loss to Detroit.
