Sheppard, Birds talk turkey

Pro Football Talk is reporting that disgruntled Eagles cornerback Lito Sheppard and agent Drew Rosenhaus held a sit-down with Eagles coach Andy Reid and team president Joe Banner Saturday.

A source described the meeting as calm and productive to the Web site.

Sheppard still wants a trade or a new contract, however.Sheppard is signed through 2011, at salaries of $2 million, $3 million, $3.7 million, and $4.25 million, respectively over the next four seasons.

A hamstring injury to Asante Samuel might change the Eagles hardline thinking on Sheppard, who is signed through 2011, at salaries of $2 million, $3 million, $3.7 million, and $4.25 million, over the next four seasons.
