Sixers fall in Summer League opener

Anthony Randolph scored a game-high 30 points and pulled down eight rebounds as Golden State downed the Sixers, 96-89, in the Summer League opener for both clubs.

Rookie first round pick Marreese Speights had 22 points and 13 rebounds for the Sixers but was just 7-of-19 from the floor. Thaddeus Young had a team-high 27 points, while Jason Smith had 11 points and nine boards.

Former St. Joe's standout Pat Carroll had seven points off the bench for the Sixers.
