Flyers sign veteran G Caron

The Flyers have reportedly signed goaltender Sebastien Caron from the Swiss Elite League in Europe, according to the Philadelphia Daily News' Frank Seravalli.

GM Paul Holmgren told the newspaper Caron has arrived in the United States and if he clears waivers today at noon, he will join the team for the final five regular-season games.

His contract is a pro-rated $500,000 deal, which would net him about $25,906 for the last 10 days of the season. However, since Caron signed after the March 3 trade deadline, he would not be eligible for the playoffs.
